Dr Attila Szabó

Dr Attila Szabó PhD is Assistant Professor, vascular surgeon, varicose vein specialist, he has been specialised in the treatment and diagnostics of lower limb vein dilations for many years. He is a renowned expert in both national and international varicose vein treatment, he is frequently invited to hold lecture and perform introductory operations abroad.
He was the first at Semmelweis University to apply radiofrequency varicose vein treatment and he introduced the laser operation of the main vein trunks on the lower limb as well as the treatment of the side branches and the spider veins into the practice of the university. Currently he is the only one in Eastern Europe to perform varicose vein operations with the ClariVein mechano-chemical method that does not require anaesthesia.
He has the experience of over 1000 varicose vein operations and 5000 treatments.

• Since 2010 I have been specialised in varicose vein diseases and their modern surgical solutions.
• Since 2013 I have been working as an external expert of the Semmelweis University Városmajor Hospital and the Heim Pál Children’s Hospital. At the clinics I perform varicose vein operations and I am responsible for the outpatient and surgical treatment of children and adults born with vein development disorders. I was the first to apply radiofrequency varicose vein treatment in the practice of the Clinic and I am the only one to perform mechano-chemical-ablation (MOCA, ClariVein) and vein gluing (VenaSeal, Sapheon) methods and as well as varicose vein operations that require no anaesthesia.
